So I purchased the Fight1 GNS 430/530 and install them in the C172 and C182. When I try to do the audio ident for Nav 1 on the audio panel, I get no morse code, no sound. I posted on the Flight1 support forum and their answer was we aren't A2A. The audio panel works fine with the original Nav 1 radio and gps but not with the Flight1 guages. My assumption is there is a problem with the Flight1 gauges. Flight1 says it is A2A's problem. Anyone have any idea?

The GNS units work perfect in your planes. There just isn't any audio ident sound. Are you saying that your audio panel doesn't recognize the GNS units? These are from Flight1 just like the GTN units.

Hello Art - I don't have any first hand experience with the GNS units, (RXP or F1) but is this topic any help?
Cheers,
Nick

Bingo! Nick you are a genius. This works and the Nav 1 ident morse code sound in VLOC mode is correct. That is how it works in my other non A2A planes. Thank you.

Re: Audio Ident Nav 1 Flight1 GNS 430/530
You're welcome Art - glad I could help. I'm thinking it might be time for me to finally bite the bullet with the GNS 430/530 now that F1 have released their "complete edition" package. However, I'll certainly be waiting a few more days to see what the RXP offering is like, and whether it's competitive in terms of pricing.
I know not all these GPS products are officially supported by A2A yet, but I assume it's pretty straightforward to manually edit the panel.cfg as required.
Cheers,
Nick

Nick: It is quite easy to install them. Ironically, I bought these gauges a couple of weeks ago not knowing there was going to be a complete edition and a reduced price. I paid the full price for each gauge individually. I know I didn't get rooked but it feels like it.

Yes, I'd be annoyed if I was in the same position Art. I presume Reality XP's entry back into the market as an active developer prompted Flight1 to offer the lower-priced package. (For anyone wanting to purchase licences for both the 430 and 530 for FSX and P3D, the price has actually gone from $229.80 to $54.95 if I understand correctly! )
Apparently the RXP 430/530 package is due out this month. It seems their X-Plane versions of these products are currently priced at $49.95 for each, which I think is identical to the previous F1 pricing for FSX. Interesting to see how RXP prices their offering, but I'd guess they'll struggle to compete unless they offer a significant discount for a 430+530 package too.
Cheers,
Nick

Nick: I don't have any experience with the RXP GPS gauges. I can tell you the Flight1 gauges work nice. Based on pricing and with the new complete package and pricing, that is what I would go with.
