lost sound on my a2a 172

Cannot get sound on my 172 but get sounds in default airplanes not sure what is wrong i uninstall it and reinstall but no luck its in prepar3d 4

First check that your default sound device in Windows is pointing to the correct output.

Next check the volume slider in the shift 3 menu.

I'd be betting on the default sound device being turned OFF or not plugged in.

its working with all the default aircraft in but not 172 so will try so other things.

My default is realtek which i have used for three years it has been working but not sure why it not working my throttle slides in and out but will not controll the engine hope this helps. I reinstalled prepar3d 3 and installed my 182 and comanche and they work great. But in installed my 172 and its doing the same thing as in prepar3d 4 . maybe some files are messed up but i do not know which files to delete

Did you check the volume control in the shift 3 menu eandar, as Oracle427 mentioned above?

Yes its on same machine prepar3d 3 and prepar3d 4 I also did shift 3 and it says 100% volume mix

If the P3D software was reinstalled, I believe Simconnect will need to be reinstalled. You mentioned not being to control the engine and that suggests a Simconnect issue.

If you look in the maintenance hangar and find that everything is broken that would be additional evidence of Simconnect not being installed.

P3D - Installed but nothing works and all is broken!?

P3DV2 sometimes wont install the required simconnect files. No worries though as they are provided by Lockheed in the following directory;
\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib

Thanks guys for help i installed the sinconnect and that fixed it. Hope you get the 182 and cherokee working so i can buy the 182 cherokee 182.
