172 is rough then cuts out

Post by KAPF student »

I'm a newbie. 172 will start and run rough for a minute before it cuts out. Cant' find how to check maintenance. Running new install of P3d v. 4

Hello,

you will want to check your aircraft prior to flight with a pre-flight walkaround and maintence hanger. You can access these via the shift panels. I would recommend referring to your product manual for the basics before jumping in.

thanks,

Rich mixture set? Idling at zero throttle?

Then you will want to read the very fine manual that comes with the product, as Lewis says.

Use `idle` as the search term and the very first item it finds will resolve your issue.

As stated check the maitenance hanger and if you have not checked realism settings, make sure the 'Auto Mixture' is off. This setting will make all A2A aircraft engines run rough, extremely smokey and quickly quit making them impossible to run.
