Comms, Standard Atc not working

Hi, am sitting in a started Cessna, Avionics, comms turned on, at least as far as sighted eyes can see, when i bring up the standard Atc menus wit different choices, i get them, but when we click them, “hit a number , we don’t hear a voice, can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?
This is kinda funny in some of the planes like 250 and piper cub it works, but in the 182 and 172 i have major problems.
We have of course checked any certig breaker, none seems to be popped.
Note had a2a not been as realistic as it is i would certainly not have checked that one, so I’m little confused as to what the cause is.

Is com1/2 selected on the panel? Sometimes my aircraft turns it off and the radios is dead until I press com1 on the top panel
