This is what I wrote and already have done. I assume you mean this:

"I have updates all. The latest A2A patch, Simconnect (three versions RTM, FSX1 and FSX2) and l checked all Windows updates."

Yes that sounds like a simconnect issue. Also make sure you are all updated.

Remember to only install one simconnect, just the last one is needed and then restart your system.

P3D - Installed but nothing works and all is broken!?

P3DV2 sometimes wont install the required simconnect files. No worries though as they are provided by Lockheed in the following directory;
\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib

Remember to not load directly into a complex simulation such as an A2A aircraft as this could cause initialisation issues.

Hello Lewis

Thank you very much! This was my missing link. A combination of just one Simconnect (FSX2) and a default scenery of P3D. I loaded the 182 and it came alive.
