Dead aeroplane

Post by andrevanvuuren »

Hello there, I have just purchased theA2A 172 trainer (academic) for prepar3d . Installed it as per prompts in exe. The aircraft is installed and loads properly. However, it remains as dead as a Dodo when I switch the battery ,yoke does'nt work ,no lights, no response at all. Have I missed a trick? even ctrl E does not start the aircraft. Your input would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forums,

it does sound like a simconnect issue you are experiencing. From the troubleshooting FAQ;
P3D - Installed but nothing works and all is broken!?

P3DV2 sometimes wont install the required simconnect files. No worries though as they are provided by Lockheed in the following directory;
\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib
The quote if from P3DV2 but applies also to v3. Remember to restart your system after simconnect installation.

thanks,
Lewis
