Hi,
Although I have used FSX for quite a while, I recently purchased Prepar3D academic and am a complete newbie. I just purchased your 172 trainer, went through the install and installed to an outside directory from Prepar3d. No sign of the aircraft when running the sim. I think I screwed up, what is best option now, and where should I have installed the aircraft?
Thanks
Prepar3D install
Re: Prepar3D install
FSX and P3D are completely separate versions. Did you purchase the combined FSX/P3D version or are you trying to install the FSX version into P3D?bobr999 wrote:Hi,

If the latter, it will not work. Versions are incompatible.
Re: Prepar3D install
Yes, I am aware they are separate and I purchased the Prepar3D version. I moved the directories into simobjects\aircraft in Prepar3D, and the aircraft appears and is flyable. But, there is sound on the ground when taxiing, etc., but sound disappears when I lift off. Any ideas?

Re: Prepar3D install
Hello,
you will want to simply install into your P3D directory. On a standard system this will be auto detected on the installer so no change to the directory path is needed. If the installer doesnt see P3D installed on your system its worth noting you may have a registry issue on your system.
thanks,
