Hi!
I'm trying to configure the C172 trainer panel more closely to a RW 172SP I fly. I configured the panel for the dual rxp gns430 / 530 but then replaced the gns530 with a Bendix King KMD550 moving map. So far so good, that all fires up correctly. Now I want to move the transponder over to the slot where the ADF is (don't need the ADF) install a COM2 KX155A in the slot vacated by the transponder move (just above the autopilot). I'm pretty decent with modifying the panel.cfg and xml gauges but in this case the avionics stack (other than GPS) seems to be buried in the C172.dll. Is there a way I can make the changes I need to reflect my RW airplane?
Thanks,
Bruce

Hello Bruce,
if you make an entirely custom 2D panel you may be able too with the help of our cockpit builders thread but the 3D cockpit you cannot do this.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Panel modification
OK , thanks.
BTW, very nice job overall. Seems a bit oversensitive in pitch and yaw, especially on takeoff at full power, but it's controllable. I have all my controls and buttons mapped through FSUIPC4. I also notice that applying brake pressure alone in my setup (Saitek ProFlight & FSUIPC4) won't hold the airplane even on the pre takeoff runup. I have to have the parking brake set. Not a big deal, but is there an guidance for proper settings and calibrations using FSUIPC4? I can post this to a different topic if that helps.

Re: Panel modification
Best to post in a new topic but your FSUIPC settings can essentially utterly change the flight model impression due to control settings. As default the Accu-sim C172 Trainer is set to exactly match the C172R we test flew.
An example of how controllers setup can utterly undermine your simming experience;

Re: Panel modification
Thanks Lewis,
Just to close this out for others, I changed my FSUIPC profile for the C172 to send all control axes to FS as normal control inputs and that seemed to correct all the issues I had with the controls.
Regards,
Bruce
