Cannot repair damaged planes
Cannot repair damaged planes
Not entirely sure what I did, but my 172 has been permanently in the hanger all in the red and cannot repaired. The Repair All button does not function nor can I repair the individual parts. I try and load other liveries and those are in the same conditions. I tried my other A2A birds (Comanche) and they are also all broke in the same conditions. Did the F2 and tried to reset everything in that panel and nothing. I did a reinstall and update of the 172, re-installed the SIMconnect. So at this stage I am at a loss. Anyone seen this before?
Re: Cannot repair damaged planes
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Is this FSX or P3D you're talking about?
In case you have FSX, check if you have SP2 installed at least. (FSX boxed only)
Regarding A2A aircraft - install the latest updater:
https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewto ... 23&t=57819
then Simconnect once more, if necessary.
Cheerz,
Will

Re: Cannot repair damaged planes
Hi Will..thanks for the welcome.
I am running P3dV3, latest and greatest and the C172 P3D version of the trainer. It’s been very weird as I have had no issues in the past. It happened while I was copying files for another product and I got a quick keyboard blitzkrieg by a 1-year-old, so I am not sure what happened. I tried to completely uninstall and reinstall after deleting all the files in the A2A directory in Documents folder (really just wanted to start fresh) and all the files in SimObjects and the A2A directory in the root of the P3D directory. I might be deep down the rabbit hole on this one, but it seems like the aircraft cannot find the “maintenance/status†database. The hanger does not remember the “modifications†that I added to the 172 such as the SP model prop.
If there is a manual uninstall process, I am willing to try and restart anew, but an uninstall and reinstall does not work…same issue. Maybe a registry issue…dunno.
Appreciate the help, trying to avoid completely reinstalling the SIM.

Re: Cannot repair damaged planes
What you describes appears like the classic simconnect issue, so reinstalling simconnect (not the sim itself), as others have pointed out, should get you up flying in no-time.

Re: Cannot repair damaged planes
I believe I did, but to be honest, I am not sure if I got the correct SimConnect version. Is there a preferred version and where would it be located at? I think I just ran all of them in the root of the P3D/redis (or something like that).
Will check tonight…appreciate the help.

Re: Cannot repair damaged planes
Sounds like you did install the correct version. Did you restart your PC after the reinstall?
