Just downloaded gns 530. For a2a 172 trainer how do you get the 530 to load to replace 400. It clearly says in trainer description that gns 430 and 530 3rd party addins have been made to work
HOW????
Please help
Thanks
John

Have you tried the A2A Aircraft Configurator?

Hello John,
you will need to make sure your aircraft is all updated with the updater here;
http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 21&t=57819
And then simply run the aircraft config application to add in the supported GPS units.
Supported 5/430 in FSX are the Mindstar and RXP units.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Gns530
Thanks Lewis
I am going to give that a try tonight and will let you know if it works
I actually saw the post on the aircraft configerator last night on the board and was wondering if that was indeed the place to get updates. I was confused as to where to find (Aircraft configurater)now I will keep checking those notes from Scott on Board unless there is another site I need to keep checking!!
Again Thanks and I will post my results too

Hello John,
the aircraft config tool is the same place as the manual. Under your start menu in windows > A2A Simulations.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Gns530
Thanks Lewis
My config was up to date and I just reinstalled about 3 times and that seemed to fix it I also noticed
That when in fsx under view menu I saw new view and noticed in there the gns 530 and after selecting
It I was able to run!! Great!!!
Love it! I also noticed and this may be a weird thing to ask but the default 400 gps seems to not work
Correctly now unless I completely delete flight1 gns 530.. I did go to config and unselected but even though the 400 still shows up when I activate the nav on autopilot and select gps and not nav it goes all
Crazy it will not work the way it was supposed to! Don't know if this is normal or not but it does make sense if you have the new gns530 why would I even think of going to 400 again!!! Valid point!!
I'm sure I will stay with the new and start forgetting all about the 400... lol
Bottom line I really like the 530
Please though let me know if I should be able to swap if I want to without deleting 530
Thanks Lewis I thoughly appreciate all your help

Hello,
are you manually editing files or using the aircraft config tool to add the gps to the aircraft?
thanks,

Re: Gns530
The configerator. I do not mess with the other files
I'm getting a feeling that you think I should be able to use both!!!
Thanks
