How to set an Ident call to show on the fuselage ?

Hi there,

I went to purchase the C182T but already own the 172 since a year ago and whished to know how to set a different Ident call sign to appear on the external body tail.

As I tried to change the Ident call directly on the Fsx aircraft tab after choosing it and put a different call sign in the dedicated text box but it show correctly only on the virtual cockpit panel but not on the external body tail. Otherwise with default FSX aircrafts this feature works well.

Is there a way to modify the Ident call to be showing on the body tail please ?

Hi Gerard,

The call signs on the A2A aircraft are actually incorporated into the paint (textures) of the individual aircraft. Changing the call sign in the aircraft selection menu will not change the call sign displayed on the aircraft (as you have already found out). The only way to change the call sign is to change the texture set of the aircraft.

Hope this clarifies the issue.

Hello and welcome to the forums,

You will want to use repaints to change the aircraft reg. The default function of changing via the in game menu is only really used on the default aircraft.

As I'm not skilled to make repaint job, I leave the A2A C172 as it is... Keep enjoying this plane with default textures.

PS: J'y ÃƒÂ©tais dÃƒÂ©jÃƒÂ allÃƒÂ© suite au lien que m'a donnÃƒÂ© Piper mais le pack de repaint franÃƒÂ§ais/suisse/belge n'est pas accessible en tÃƒÂ©lÃƒÂ©chargement. J'ai un message du genre mon firewall bloque ou les cookies sont nÃƒÂ©cessaires pour tÃƒÂ©lÃƒÂ©charger ce pack et je ne peux pas l'avoir. Bon pas bien grave surtout que je recherche juste ÃƒÂ modifier l'identifiant de l'avion avec mon propre call radio amateur XD... Les peintures m'importent peu.
