direct x install error

Hi Just reinstalled some of my A2A fleet (C172 Skylane Cheroke Commanche) after windows and FSX reinstall. Direct X install fails with directx.log as below, and although aircraft loads in free flight preview window, I get fatal error on loading a flight with any A2A accusim aircraft:

Tried rebooting, running accusim updater, and I have reinstalled direct x 9 from windows, as suggested elsewhere, no joy - any ideas?

Further to this I checked my registry and appear to have direct x installed correctly:
Default REG_SZ (value not set)
Installedversion REG_BINARY 00 00 00 09 00 00 00 00
Version REG_SZ 4.09.00.0904

Have also run dxwebsetup (DirectX End user Runtime web installer)

Would be grateful for any help.

Hi.
What version of FSX are you useing , if FSX SE then it sould be up to date , if FSX is it updated to sp 1 and 2 or FSX + acceleration .

What is the actual error you are getting when you try to load an A2A aircraft?

Cracked it - I remembered that another companies product had a dx update installer included, so ran that and it found a load of missing dx9 dlls missing (31 through 42) and installed them.
All aircraft now load correctly. Still not sure why previous attempts to update dx had not worked, but for any others that have this problem you may find this works. Without wishing to advertise the other product, lets just say its proved majestic solution!

That is very strange because the DX installer is the one provided directly by Microsoft. Oh well, glad it works.
