C172 Trainer [FSX]

I'm having a problem with no sound and the plane will not start. Just did a fresh install and put the plane in and it didn't work. Someone please help!

Read the manual,check the aircraft in the maintenance hanger,do a walk around and if you still can't get it started try ctrl-e,if it starts with that then it is your fault that you can't start it.
If it won't start with ctrl-e then we have a problem,so come back here.
Have you checked your simconnect.

do you have all themenus available and have you checked the levels,fuel oil etc.You really need to be more specific,ie go through the start up procedure.

like battery on magnets on fuel on prime etc etc.Please read the manual and check all the pop up menus

It's not that. I don't have any sounds. I don't think the plane is working properly.

As Speedy mentioned we will need more information than its not working. For example how is it not working, what platform you are using?

The basics to check would be the troubleshooting FAQ but first the manual to make sure your system is setup correctly and meets the requirements.

I bought the plane November 22nd. It has not worked since day 1. I had a problem with my fsx and lost the disk, so I couldn't do a clean copy install. I just left it alone because I was getting a new copy for Christmas. I just bought the steam version yesterday and it still isn't working. What I mean by not working is, When I put the plane in, I can see all of the views and everything but when I go to run though the pre-flight checklist none of the buttons work. When I click the button to go into the hanger, it goes in but I can't click on or change any of the products. When I try to start the plane, and click the proper switches, I cant hear anything. The volume is up all the way in the plane and on my pc. When I click the proper switches to start the plane it doesn't do anything at all.

So, I looked more into the plane and as to why it wasnt working. I found that in the maintenance hanger that everything was broken and had a problem. When I went to switch/ fix the problem nothing would click and let me.

sorry for the issues you are having but we really need for you to answer the questions before we can proceed to help you.

It sounds like the first issue you had was that your FSX was not correctly updated and now with the steam version whilst updated it is still missing the correct simconnect as the steam version doesn't come with the same files installed as the disc version but does come with the files for manual installation. Fix is in the link above.

You manual is under you start menu >> All programs >> A2A Simulations, it also lists what is needed and what should be set within FSX for correct operation of the simulation.
