Xpdr transmitting on standby

Post by Corkery »

As I understand the functions of the transponder, in standby, the code can be changed but isn't transmitted. However, FSX ATC does recognise that the code has been set when in standby which seems to mean the code is being 'transmitted' in the sim?

Presumably an FSX limitation. The default aircraft from memory don't even have a moveable switch so the code presumably isn't aware of a standby mode.
