FSUIPC is great and powerful program. But it can change low level things in FSX, or make the simulator behave differently than stock FSX does. Our addons don't require FSUIPC to work correctly, below are some settings that need attention if you use paid version of FSUIPC:
1. Extended battery life
This has to be DISABLED. We take care of our batteries ourselves.
2. Toe brakes release when pushed to maximum position
If you have rudder pedals with toe brakes, go to the fsuipc.ini, find "BrakeReleaseThreshold = 75" and set it to 0.
3. No hardware mixture control
Old problem, fixed in 1.01
4. No Shift+[Number] 2D panels.
If you tend to delete all FSX keyboard assignments and use FSUIPC for everything, remember about the shortcuts that bring the 2D panels.

Thanks some1
I notice the toe brake problem and now I can fix it

Re: FSUIPC known issues
Does leaving extended battery life on in FSUIPC cause any problems with the C172R ?

When I like to do basic flying, I turn to A2A Aircraft, cause A2A "basic" flying means "complex" procedures.

Re: FSUIPC known issues
You won't get realistic battery life and usage, plus occasional inability to turn off avionics: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 08&t=35742

Re: FSUIPC known issues
I use the unregistered version of FSUIPC just for the dll. I see no mention of "battery extender" in either tab of FSUIPC so I'm guessing there will be no conflict?

Is this a setting that i can keep for all aircraft or do i have to reset back =75 when not flying the A2A 172?some1 - A2A wrote:

Re: FSUIPC known issues
I leave it at 0 for all craft. I never have any problems, but then I have a button set up to toggle Parking brake, so all is good.

Re: FSUIPC known issues
I'm not an FSUIPC user but the mixture control is fixed by assigning your hardware mixture axis to "Mixture" instead of "Mixture 1".

I'm using FSUIPC with good results - I can confirm that setting the mixture axis to 'Mixture' works fine for me.
Re: FSUIPC known issues
Where do I find the FSUIPC.INI ?

Re: FSUIPC known issues
OK, Lewis, Scott, et al - one more - the flap lever. Hardware - Desktop aviator, 2090, analogue - works on everything else through FSUIPC... except the 172. Everything else on this controller is file, spectacles, throttle, mixture, trim wheel, plus most switches with the exceptions being the actual Starter part of the keyswitch (I've read of this elsewhere, along with the fix, I think).
Thanks
