No Nav (heading) with RXP GNS 430?

Post by Boon1986 »

Hey,
I have no Nav Control with the RXP GNS 430 (and no read out at VOR1 in GPS mod) is that Real.
With RXP GNS 530 works all fine.
Is that a problem or real
Im not sure.
Best Regards Daniel

Are you getting the NAV flag on the VOR when the RXP GNS430 is in GPS mode?

I assume you have the up-to-date version of the GPS (1.6.0.1)

Have a look for the respective rxpgns.ini file. Not at my sim computer until this afternoon, but I am guessing the option LinkGPS=On might be missing in the rxpgns.ini file for the 430...

Just a guess...

This is just the way how the RXP gauges work, with two GPS'es installed in the panel only one controls NAV1 CDI.
If you want to have NAV control from GNS430 (and you also own GNS530) you have to remove the GNS530 from the panel.cfg. Or maybe it's enough to change the order of those gauges in the panel.cfg or fiddle with some settings in RXP configuration. Sorry, we are no experts in that field.

I would ask the gauges developer, but unfortunately we weren't able to get any support from them.

Are there two GPS units installed?

I need to get the C172 installed now :)

I bought it last night to beat the storm... just not had time to put it on the FSX box so far...

Only one can be visible in the VC at a given time, but both are installed in the aircraft's panel.cfg, so that you can switch between them on the fly, no aircraft reload required.

Ah, OK... thanks...

I guess just re-ordering them in the cfg should work...

Of the few C172s I have looked/sat in, if there was a Garmin in there, I only remember seeing the 430, but I like the idea of the larger screened 530!
