C172 set up question

On the set up menu, the one with volume, gps, yoke/no yoke, lower left hand side is is a setting that is +/- 1-5 setting. What does this refer to? The manual does have this feature shown and I can’t find anything related to it. Is it volume control or...?

Hey Beachdog - I think you're talking about the "simulated elevator force" setting. There's some discussion of the feature in this thread which you may find helpful. I believe this setting was introduced some time after the initial release, which is why it isn't covered in the manual.
