I recently totally reinstalled on a newly purchased SSD, with a fresh P3D 4.2 and the A2A single-engine aircraft. I then updated the A2A aircraft by running (as administrator) A2A_Update_10_12_17.exe. After pointing to P3D V4 it does correctly find the A2A install directory, C:\Users\User\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A, but the update takes a second or less- far, far faster than it used to take. I am used to the updater announcing each A/C as it worked through the updates, with the entire process taking a minute or more.
Is this very fast update the expected behavior? Is there a log file to see what it did? I suspect it did not recognize the five A/c I have installed. In addition to the two Cessnas, and two Pipers, and the T-6, I have the P-51 which installed into a different location.
thanks,
Gary

Re: behavior of A2A_Update_10_12_17 with new install of P3D
Hello Gary and welcome to the forums,
yes that is all normal. There is only one very small update for the moment that is a single file to fix an issue that occured between v4 and v4.1+
thanks,
Lewis
