autopilot

Post by AbstractArtist »

I am having trouble with autopilot. I can't seem to get the atitulde I want without using the Vs on it and also it follows the wrong track. Was heading from KCRW to 3 hours flight south and I kept heading north. Can anyone help me understand it better please?

Hi, here is a link to the autopilot manual:

-- to keep on hand for future reference. The A2A version is this one, reproduced faithfully!

I can't answer your question with any confidence as I've had my head completely involved in the intricacies of the B-17, P-51, T-6 and Spitfire for the past five years!

Hi.
The Auto pilot works either on HDG or it follows the GPS but you need the HDG/GPS switch on combing in GPS to follow track.
If in HDG mode dont forget to hit the d key every 15 min to realign the nav compass.
