Which sim? We can see P3D in the image, but it's down to you to tell us everything else. If it's v4, then the GNS has NOT been updated for that sim. You should query with the vendor who sold you the GNS for any updates.

So we are clear: You do actually OWN the Flight 1 GNS430 (as a separate purchase)?

the Flight1 GNS is not supported for the 172 at the time of this post. Supported for use and integration into the cockpit is the RXP/Mindstar 4/530 GNS and the Flight1 6/750 GTN units. Though as Mallcott says these have not yet been updated for the newer P3Dv4 platform
