Hello,
I’ve purchased some time ago both the Cherokee and C172 trainer for FSX.
In the last days I’ve moved from FSX to Prepar3D and I’m reinstalling all the scenario and aircraft I have.
I sadly discovered that not everything works on Prepar3d (v3.3) and I’m desperately trying to save my money recovering what is possible (I really invested a lot of them!)…
I’ve bought the Academic version of Cherokee but really feel is a terrible thing not having the possibility to convert my old licenses into new ones for Prepar3D.
Is there any hope to be able to replace the old FSX versions I bought for the C172 trainer with new Academic versions for Prepar3D (that anyway have the same price)?
For the Cherokee it will be useless... I already bought the P3D version...
Thanks for any consideration.
Jerrydrake

We offer point-of-sale bundles in our store in the same way you can buy bundled goods commonly offered in other retail outlets. We can’t offer long term P3D discounts because it is a new platform that is constantly changing.
thanks,
Lewis

Dear Lewis,
I think that it's not a matter of point-of-sale bundle.
I buy a product and I would like to use it only on one simulator.
I really do not think its logic to have two contemporary installation of FSX and P3D... I can understand FSX or P3D and X-plane 10 but seriously: not FSX and P3D at the same time!
Anyway this is your choice and, since you are the one that is selling the product, it seems that I must accept it even if I do not like it.
Personally I would have sold the two licenses FSX and P3D academic at single license price ($49,99) with the possibility to use one or the other without distinction (of course no contemporary installation of the two).
Thank you anyway for the answer. My only sadness is that the product is so good that probably I'll have to buy it sooner or later...
Regards,
JD

Hello JD
its exactly like FSX and X-plane, P3D is an entirely different platform. P3D native products are not workable in FSX or X-Plane.
thanks,
Lewis
