It is with a heavy heart that I announce the real life N984RA was lost this past weekend. It went down in Lake Pontchartrain with one survivor. No reported mechanical problems but weather may have been a factor. The pilot was a wonderful man, a great pilot, and a good friend. I will miss him dearly. Of all the Skyhawks I've ever flown, this was by far my favorite. I often remarked that if I were to have won the lottery, I would buy this particular airplane and give it a makeover. Thank you to ebo for the repaint that will allow me to remember this pilot and plane with more than just pictures. And of course thank you to A2A for this wonderful aircraft that made the repaint possible.
