Kinda sounds to me like pre-ignition...

However, I'm not seeing any indication on the gauges.

Best Regards,

I just listened to it again with my headset and volume turned up. Sounds just like my sim and what I would expect to hear... :?

Hi folks.. sorry for the delay, I was busy.

I just noticed my 182 is doing the same sound, but the cherokee and 250 sounds fine. I don't get it. I already reinstalled, deleted the data files manually, did a complete overhaul, reset the plane's hours.. and the crackling remains. I know there is something weird because I don't hear this sound in other youtube videos..

thanks for the help

That little 'squeaking' like sound? Try the following: with the plane standing still and engine off, move the rudder. I believe quick movements on those controls create that kind of sounds. Are you using a twist stick for the rudder?

I think that the sounds of the controls movement are silenced during engine operation, at least i could never hear them, even at idle. :)

I don't think that there is anything broken, its just the simulated sound of the tires hitting various holes and joints on the tarmac.
