Kim Jung Un flies North Korean built C172.

Post by mtbparker »

I saw this come across my news feed this morning. I thought you might get a chuckle out of it.

There's also an opportunity here for an uncommon repaint. And to the team at A2A, I'd like to request windshield wipers on the next update of the C172. :D

Nice! I wonder what Cessna looks like in Korean typeface?

Also that article seems daft to be questioning whether its him flying. A PPL is hardly outside the reach of a man with that much power and cash :)

I asked the same question myself. I suspect he's probably left seat, but the instructor in the right seat is doing most of the flying. Though, how the heck would I know? :D

I love the female commentator in that video - at one point she sounds like she's going to burst into tears with unbridled adoration. Nice to see Kim Jong Un had the sides of his head shaved in readiness for the headphones - very professional. In fact, I think Lewis should have a haircut like that.

I know I should not be, but I'm shocked to see such a huge, yet deserted airfield... Not a single plane or vehicle to be seen around.... Is it me or during the preflight sequence when he is sitting in the cockpit he seems to be explaining how to bring the flaps down?????

I'll pass on that repaint though. Far too tricky, I'll leave it to a real expert.

The audio just sounds hilariously exaggerated :D
But looks like the supreme commander got a lot of fun.

If it was really built by the North Koreans perhaps it is structurally inferior and you never know could have a inflight breakup with numbnuts aboard. Would definitely be in mourning for at least a millisecond. :D

Be interesting to see the performance differences of the type compared to the real deal.

thanks,
