C172 Europe VFR Mode Button

Hi Everyone.

I've read the manuals and followed the videos but for the life of me I can't change the VFR button to Squawk 7000 when I push it. Can someone post on this tag how they got their's to change so when ever i push VFR it squawks 7000 & NOT 1200. It's not a big deal to keep going back to the last memory but as it seems to be modelled I'd like mine to work.
