Basic Question: C-172 DME?

Post by RvA »

Hello all,

Well maybe I missed it, but is there any type a DME in the 172? I've looked in the A2A manual. Read the real manuals for these radio's and I can not for the life of me figure a way to get a distance from a VOR while in flight. Maybe I've been spoiled in my flying both sim and a little real left seat time many years ago. But I always had a DME to use. So if there is no DME in this bird how does one get a fix on your location, Bisecting VOR's?

And a question to the developers, can one add the KN62/64 DME to this bird?

Thanks in advance,

Roger

And now I see it. I had the GPS installed once I opened the Shift 3 ditched the GPS, BAM!!! One KN-62A sitting at the bottom of the stack! Out standing. My life just got much easier, no more bisecting VOR's :D

Thank you again.

Roger
