I have repeatedly tried to start and gone thru' loads of batteries! But I haven't had the problem before!
If I look at the Maintenance it shows "Some of the engine accessories need repair"!
I run a Full overhaul and go thru' the same loop again.
The only difference today was when I first loaded the 172 today the engine was running but with a lot of vibration.
After a few minutes it stopped and showed the propeller was broken!
I believe I am following the correct priming/start routine (which worked before).
Can anyone advise me?
Thanks
Nigel
Another start-up issue
Re: Another start-up issue
What platform are you using and are you using a default microsoft aircraft as the default start up flight?

I am using FSX SE (though I have started the 172 before in the same version).
I didn't load a default FSX aircraft first when I started FSX (I loaded a previous flight to get back into my last position which had used the RealAir Duke). Is it necessary then to use a default?
Thanks
Nigel

Re: Another start-up issue
Yes it is very important.
You see A2A uses coding outside FSX.
The realair duke is complicated as well.
Use the default cessna or something similair.
Always do a walk around check on your A2A aircraft before flying and please read the manual it is essential reading.
You may need to reinstall simconnect,it is a problem steam sometimes has.

Speedy
Thanks for that.
I didn't realise that was necessary for this model.
I will check Simconnect and follow your advice

I tried just the default a/c 'fix' and then loaded the A2A 172 and it worked for me.
Got me started and out of Key West to continue my RTW trip.
Thanks for your help

Re: Another start-up issue
Great news Nigel.
Enjoy your flying and remember to look out for new updates and if you buy another A2A aircraft you must run the latest updater again.
Glad to help.
Cheers Chris.

Re: Another start-up issue
Speedy70, I just wanted to double check what you mean by starting with a default aircraft.
1. Must a default aircraft be the default start up flight? Or can I just select a default aircraft that isn't the default start up flight?
2. Do I simply replace the default aircraft with my A2A aircraft? Or can I load from a save? (This could put me half way round the world.)
3. Must I do this for every flight or for every session?

Re: Another start-up issue
You should make a default start up flight such as the trike on the ground at an airport of your choice. Then when you load this when you begin your flightsim session all you have to do after it has loaded is to change the aircraft to your A2A aircraft.

Re: Another start-up issue
Thanks Chris. That's pretty much what I did. Things did seem to run a little smoother, though I only occasionally had unusual results.
Re: Another start-up issue
You have installed the latest updater haven't you?
