Circuit breakers in 172 as well ?

Post by Caldemeyn »

After looking at Froogle's video i noticed that circuit breakers are supposedly working in the 182. if its true, will they and when be implemented in a 172 ?

I was wondering about this as well. I recall them saying around the 180's release that it would have the CB's modeled and they would retroactively port that over to the C172 later on. I have not played with them, have they been added?

No operable circuit breakers in the C172 yet. (well, not in mine anyway!) I presume Andrew was referring to the Skylane in his post above.

Sorry should have clarified, C182 has clickspots over the circuit breakers. They are not like the fuses in the cherokee you can't pull them out. I hope they put them in the c172 as well.

That will add to realism for sure! I cannot imagine eg. An-2 Colt without a dedicated CB panel... operation of which is a requirement of POH. I mean both the real and simulated aircraft from you-know-who.
Thanks!

This is rather an old thread Victor. Circuit breakers in the C172 were given click spots with the 2015-04-20 update I seem to recall (though this wasn't mentioned in the update notes). I'm not sure of the conditions under which they trip and being flush-mounted, it's not possible to manually pull them; the click spot is just to reset them if they do trip. However, as this topic shows, encountering a popped breaker is certainly possible. :)

Cheers,
