Hi
Whenever I hit shift+1,2 etc fsx frame rate crashes down to 6 or something unusable and stays there till I restart the program. Any ideas?
oh, while I'm here... minor but annoying, how can I change out the gps? Can't see the fuel gauges at all. Also can't for the life of me see how to view the pilot / passengers in any view.
John

Re: Panels cause meltdown
Thanks for the reply. I'm changing tack a bit, think this is really a new post, but...
i'm sure my problems are due to my set up and thinking about it, this rig is soo old I think I am am done trying to pick through it. I also have some new Orbx scenery installed which really struggles and a new processor, board and maybe graphics card is a lot cheaper than flying lessons.
FSX hasn't been happy on here for years, any pointers on where to start looking? I understand the core app is old but these add ons aren't. I'm not a massive simmer but I do want to be able to run this amazing cessna around locally - the SE of England.
Crumbs, this is old...
HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield"
Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
The case is fine, any bundle choices?

Re: Panels cause meltdown
Hey,
how good are you with building computers, are you after systems or parts?
Heres a few links;
http://www.midlandcomputers.com/ - This place has an actual flight simmer on staff who could help get a system together to run FSX beautifully. PM me and I can get you his email address.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ - The classic parts site, Ive personally used them for a while and always been happy with the bits I get.
cheers,
Lewis
