Sorry for dumb questions...but I'm totally new to P3D.
I'm trying to install some new C172 skin I've downloaded form the great artist around here.
I've placed the texture.XXXX into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D 2V\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C172 folder
Nothing happens in P3D World...in the Aircraft selection I can just see the default three liveries
Thanks for feedback
How to install liveries in P3D
Re: How to install liveries in P3D
Vespa,
you have to open a file called aircraft.cfg using your notepad and add the texture entry provided somewhere in the readme.txt attached to the texture you downloaded. At the beginning of that file there are texture entries and you just to add a new one and replace the [fltsim.XXX] to the next number.
By default, A2A Cessna has three texture entries: [fltsim.0], [fltsim.1] and [fltsim.2]..
So, the texture you downloaded and want to install should be [fltsim.3] in the aircraft.cfg
Example texture entry from ac.cfg:
[fltsim.3]
title=C172R SP-TAM
sim=C172
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=sptam
kb_checklists=C172_check
kb_reference=C172_ref
atc_id=SP-TAM
ui_manufacturer=A2A Cessna
ui_type="C172R Skyhawk"
ui_variation="SP-TAM"
ui_typerole="Single Engine Prop"
ui_createdby="A2A Simulations Inc."
description=""
BTW: I knew a person from Italy with such nickname who was a modleader for the Target Tobruk mod on different sim engine. Is that you by chance ?
