Various stuff from a frustrated user

Post by namron2 »

Hi

I have had the C172 installed for over a week and, although I have been given lots of help, it is far from working?

I have requested a refund several times but have received NO response?

I am still trying as I really want to get this to work.

As I want to show what I see on the screen, I tried several times to upload a screenshot (small file size)

It hangs trying to upload and I am forced to cancel.

What could I be doing wrong please???

Also where do I find Autostart???

Thank you

Norm

You can not upload pictures directly to this message board. If you want to show a screenshot, upload it to one of the gazillion picture hosting sites on the web and paste the link to it here.

Autostart button is at the bottom of the Shift+3 panel, if I remember correctly

Edit: So reinstalling Simconnect did not work for you? Or did it? You never reported back about that last suggestion in your old thread...

Unfortunately, I can't answer that one.

Try pressing Shift+3 to show the controls window. In the lower left part, it should read "AUTO START".

Hope you get your problems sorted. I'm sure you have tried the search function in this forum, haven't you?

I believe that if you describe your problem, this community will be able to help you.

Hi, let's try to get you going...autostart is in the shift-3 menu(down towards the left bottom of the pop up)...presuming that your shift + menus are working....

As far as screenshots go, you must post your shots to a publicly available site (I use my own wordpress site) and copy the image url from that site, then in creating your reply on a thread, you will see a button at the top labelled img , you will click that and it will put this code into your post.....between the two brackets paste the url of your image......

I hope this helps, so we can figure out what's going on with your sim and try to help

Thank you guys, my hair was grey before but now it is as White as the driven snow!

Just did another re-install and here is what happens:

As FSX loads I get a message Add-on manager will not run? Needs expansion pack? Could that be it??

Shift keys work in every other plane only so I cannot get Shift 3?

When I flick prime switch, no noise or priming?

Cannot move ignition switch with mouse only with Ctrl E

CFGF manager only shows 1 page (down to generator)??

Thanks again

If it says you don't have expansion pack installed, you most likely need to install SimConnect. Search this forum or read the FAQ thread to find a link to the installer.

Good luck.

I think I tried that before but I will gladly try it again.

Would that be a show stopper?

If it's really a SimConnect issue: definitely.

What is this "Add-on Manager" you keep referring to? Never heard of it before.

Hello,

yes indeed the question is what on earth is add-on manger???? Its not one of our products. Have you tried the ad-on managers support page to get help to why your sim is crashing?

thanks,
