Sound Issue

I purchase the C172 trainer on 8/2 and I have been very pleased with the product so far. However, I have run into an issue that I have not been able to figure out yet. I hear very little sound in the cockpit. This is likely due to my abnormal sound setup, but I am trying to find a way to make it work. FS plays on a set of speakers which are on my desktop. However, my default sound device is a second monitor connected through HDMI. I hear many environment sounds through my second monitor but not engine sounds. When I go to external view, I get nice loud sounds out of the desktop speakers. Opening the side windows does increase the volume some, but not much. Headphones reduce the sounds some. But in the VC I am just not getting any engine rumble. So what is going on?

Hello,

The sounds will play through the default windows sound device. If you change your desktop speakers to be your default Sound device you will get the full audio environment.
