This surprises me as the throttle response of the Cherokee and the C172 should be the same.

I'll have time to check again either tomorrow evening or Sunday... I did fly them one after the other and it seemed as I said, but its always possible I was having a funny moment...

OK, I checked them out and they are in fact the same. I think it was more an audio thing to me as the Cherokee is quieter while idling, and suddenly gets much louder in that range!
