If you download 3x I believe that uses up all your downloads and you will need to wait until A2A resets them. Lewis will usually respond once he is up.

However you posted in the general patch topic and you should be posting on the appropriate support forum to ensure your post is noticed for help.

Fire me a PM and I can activate the downloads for you. The P3D installers on the store include P3DV3 versions, there areno v2 only ones on the store.

thanks,

I'm still pretty new to this - how do I check what update I currently have & whether I need to use the 10_03_15 download? (I downloaded FSX 07Oct15 & then the Accu-sim Cherokee on 14Oct15.) Instructions as for dummies please, I won't be offended .

I'm seeing some odd things & wonder if an update is required to resolve them (parking brake un-sets itself randomly, & chocks/tie-downs just disappear randomly. So the parking brake is unreliable & I can't perform run-up checks because 2Krpm overcomes the toe brakes & rolls me forward..... :? .

Hi Lewis.

Any thoughts on how to deal with my issues re:
"I'm seeing some odd things & wonder if an update is required to resolve them (parking brake un-sets itself randomly, & chocks/tie-downs just disappear randomly. So the parking brake is unreliable & I can't perform run-up checks because 2Krpm overcomes the toe brakes & rolls me forward..... :? ."

Is 'the updater' an auto-feature of A2A software, or Steam or FXS - or do I have to do this manually (if so, how)? (Sorry.)

Normal default FSX behavior. Anytime the brakes are activated the parking brake will release. The A2A chock and tiedown animations are associated with the parking brake so they will disappear upon paling brake release.

If you have a controller such add rudder pedals mapped to your brakes it is possible that the axis is out of calibration or the controller has a noisy signal in which case FSX is seeing the brakes activate and therefore releasing the parking brake.

In addition for the brakes to work properly you must set their axis to maximum sensitivity. Try that first to see if your problem goes away.

Many thanks Oracle.

I do use Pro Pedals. I'll look at the calibration. (All of my FSX settings are already maxed for realism.)

This also appears to answer my chocks & tie-downs query. Many thanks.

These are the axis sensitivity settings and not the graphics or realism settings that I am referring to.

All good advice. I can only add that maybe a bit of a null-zone (at the beginning) might help reduce accidental toe-brake action.

Adam.

Chaps. Thanks so much everyone for all the help.
I checked my pedal calibration and it showed up that the right pedal brake was almost never coming completely off.

I've now set dead zones for each brake - and so far the parking brake is staying on reliably!! (Likewise, chocks & tie-downs.)
Initially I couldn't see how to get to this setting, but then realised that the Pro Pedals are listed on the dropdown...

Still not sure how to determine which update I have. If I already effectively have the stuff in the 10_03_15 update, will running the download have any negative effects..??

No there is no harm in running the update again.

Remember whenever you buy a new accusim aircraft you must run the latest updater.

Cheers Chris

Thanks
