Weight and Balance Question

Post by cessnaman »

Hi all,
I'm using the prop that makes that makes my cessna into a C172S with 180bhp @ 2700rpm.
The C172R has a Std. Empty Weight of 1639 and the Max Useful Load of 818lbs and the Takeoff Weight of 2450.
The C172S has a Std. Empty Weight of 1663 and the Max Useful Load of 895lbs and the Takeoff Weight of 2550.
So is A2A C172 configured so I can use the numbers for a C172S when figuring the weight and balance?

Thanks,
Gabe

Hi Gabe,

Have a look at this Weight & Balance thread (it should answer your question):

Thanks Rob.
Don't know how I missed that thread, and it was right at the top. Must be the old age. :) That's just what I thought, just had to make sure.
Anyway's, it's great to have the work sheet. For now I'm going to do it on paper like I used to. Been a long time since I worked out these sort of things. Got to get the brain working again. :D

Thanks again
Gabe
