Damn. Finishing up the scenery, Cessna out, then 777 out, now paintkit for the Cessna, a VA livery order to fill... man, I need to quit my dayjob :)

Thanks, though. Hopefully I will get some good pictures to base the repaints on.

Mike,

Can A2A make a repainting section for the 172 like they did for the mustangs and others?

Having some trouble with the main door in this paintkit. Which layer is it in? In the main texture folders, the door is white, but in the paintkit, the door is an un-paintable grey. To get the blank textures, I disabled this shading layer, however the door is grey like the background.

Which version of Photoshop do you have? Or maybe it's different program? GIMP, Paint Shop Pro?

It's not a font. I've handpainted N7274H, I'll ask Marcelo if he used a font.

Sorry, I don't know.

Do you mean forums section? Repainters section in General Discussion is for all our planes.

I'm using Paint.net with a photoshop plugin to open psd files. I've been using it for the past five years to repaint all sorts of planes from paintkits. The picture shows the problem. Shading layer is disabled, and the door is missing. If I tried to paint in the door area, it will not show up. Everywhere else on the fusalage is OK to paint.

Yes, already have everything installed. I've checked PSD in Paint.net already, and I I'll try to prepare native paintkit.

Thank you. This will be the first bird since the Spitfire that will get me back into the repainting saddle. I just need to make some time. ;)

Updated first post with native Paint.NET pdn paintkit.

It's slightly different than PSD one, because Paint.NET has different blending mode, but it should do the work. You may want to lower the opacity of Soft Light layer in c172_t.pdn file if you'll use dark colors for lower part of fuselage and wings.

I will, thank you. I just had a short look and the paintkit is excellent. Very clearly structured for minimum confusion. ;)
