Accu-sim C172 Trainer - Screenshots
Re: Accu-sim C172 Trainer - Screenshots
Hello people. New to the forum/sims. Considering purchasing the A2A C172 Trainer. I've seen different pics of this trainer on the A2A website. Can anyone tell me which "paint" I will get if I download today?...(June 17th, 2015). Thanks in advance.

Very cool shots. Is that monument valley?

Thanks Gunnar! G-Jans is one of my favorite paints. And yes, that is Monument Valley from Orbx. If the plane isn't A2A and the scenery is not Orbx, I probably won't be flying/traveling it. Thanks for the kind words on the screenshots Lewis. If I get anymore that look worth seeing, I'll post them.

Took the aircraft out for it's first flight today from MSN Dane County Regional-Truax Field Madison WI.
Loaded up the family taxied to run-up area and cleared those fouled plugs before being cleared for take off.
Departed MSN maintained rwy hd. good rate of climb est. engaged autopilot and climbed to 3500 msl. and navigated to the DLL/VOR. Once at the DLL/VOR shot an outbound 206r til I intercepted the MSN/VOR obs273 in nav2. Came to heading 273 and there was the field I was looking for LNR. Just did a fly by
Turned 093 degrees and started the trip back to the MSN/VOR with an ILS landing back where I started from. Total time 1 hour flight.
Was very pleased the way the aircraft radios navigated with the autopilot engaged. I enjoyed the handling once I learned the anticipation of the turns through the autopilot. Much different than the default fsx 172sp. Nice aircraft enjoyed everything about this aircraft, was glad I was the pilot I don't care for the back seats unless I got a air cushion under me

1st repaint of the C172, kind of a fan of the early 60's paint schemes.

Nice paint!
In my opinion the different paints (classic vs modern) actually show how little Cessna has changed the design of this aircraft over time.
Classic paint = Cessna from the 60's.
Modern paint = Cessna from the 2000's.
But then why would they change the design of the bestselling aircraft of all time??

Re: Accu-sim C172 Trainer - Screenshots
Pretty much no change, just what ever one can think of usually works for a paint. Just the location of registration was about only the biggest change that came about.
The ones I see fly over, and see at the airport, and with the ones I have rode in, have been just white with a few stripes here and there.

It's been a while since I took the 172 up into the air - with comanche taking all my time these days - so I thought I would do a circuit and dust her off
