Banquet, that movie is super. :D I do hope you're able to sharpen things up a bit, but I still really enjoyed it as-is.

I especially like the slight bit of color present. In fact, I wonder if it might be possible to increase the color slightly while still keeping it muted, to give it the look of original 1940's color footage. Since you already have the motion picture "static" in place, it might look really good.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always felt that BOB had something in it's color palette that evoked those old "original wartime color" pictures you see from time-to-time. It's especially strong in the cockpit view, and it really adds to the "time machine" effect.

Thanks for the kind comments guys :) Yesterday I tried to upload another 2 formats of the movie but the Google Video uploader kept either resetting back to zero once 1 meg has been uploaded or, in one case, uploaded the whole movie (168 meg) 3 times and then when it started again for the forth time (after many hours!) I cancelled it.

Maybe I have used up my bandwith for the time being? Not sure how it works. Will try again tonight. I find the whole thing confusing though because the original movie I uploaded was a decent resolution.. can't really see the point of being able to upload 'big' file size movies if Google just condenses them down! Will keep trying! :)

btw musk, I used 75% black and white for most of the scenes. I could try decreasing that to 50% to allow a bit more colour through. I was trying to give it a old film kind of look but maybe I went too far

Good video mate. I like your flying too. I might put you in my team.

Yeah, both google and youtube lower your video quality no matter what you uploaded it like. It has happened to me and to Seavee all the time.

What video editing tool are you using?

I really want to make a video of a 12v12 but without it being touched or nothing, a raw one just so you can see the ammount of things happening at the same time, what stops me is that google and youtube´s final quality is so low, you can hardly see other planes or tracers etc.......
Cheers,

Spitfireace

Cheer spitfireace. It's a shame about the quality limits.. as u say you can't really see much after they've lowered the resolution!

I use Vegas for video editing.. I think it's up to version 7 now but I'm still using version 5 which is fine for most things but doesn't support mpeg4 which is a bit of a pain.

Hey!

It might be a bit OFf topic, but I'd really like to share this one with you guys. I play in a band called Reflected, and we wrote a song about a Corsair - Zero dogfight. We also made a little video of some original footages. Here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6exfgVO34bA

Here are the lyrics:

Reflected - Gravity Off

Fighter sweep over boiling seas, deep beyond enemy lines
The wingman screams in the radio "Four Zeros on our nine!"
Ghost riders in the sky, facing them
Guiding my crosshair chasing white wings

Gravity off!Warbirds are tearing up the sky
stuck between the earth below and the heavens up above
Gravity off! You make one wrong move you die
Breathing smoke, engine's burning, time to say goodbye

Rolling over to get behind, the world's fading to black
All my comrades dead or fleeing, no one's got my back.
hold my breath, time slows down, the air ignites
guiding my crosshair piercing white wings

He's falling down, but none of us is going home...

No feeling of triumph, zeros dive out from the sun
deadly burst of silver rain, there is nowhere to run
breathing smoke, controls gone, desparately
Guiding my Corsair chased by white wings

If you like it, you can download the vid, and the song as well:

Just some videos that i have made recently, unedited ones, some for fun some for testing and stuff:

12v12 video Ia set to Hero:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khI4XoeMf5c

Historic Instant Action Mission. London. (I like this one specially when i get proper hit and have to improvise an emergency landing)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1x6EapX3usk

1v1 both set to Hero, me in the Spit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zEzX-o3f2I

Two videos where i let the 109 win the merge and he shoots me down:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSzJjO6zAaU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcyhtQTwVFc

AGAINST THE TERMINATOR AI, i quite like this one,

Heinkill, theres a video here, where i let the 109 get behind me and then i try to beat it. This was difficult as i fougth the terminator Ai, my only chance was when the terminator Ai couldnt keep up with the tight turn, and i reversed my turn to get a chance to shoot at it.... you can see it in the video: (i quite like this one as the Terminator Ai wont let you evade him easily...)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUDybsdpIQ8

Here is another one, where i let him behind, and by the time i try to start my evasive and attacking manouvres, he has already taken some shots at me, also against the Terminator Ai....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz6LPb3EHa8

After a little practice in a 109, fighting the Terminator Ai flying a Spit. Stalkervision wanted me to do this to see if i could do it this way, me in the 109....

Well, Stalkervision, i decided to give them all a go.....

First, this is me flying the Me110 (also for the first time in my life, so dont judge me by my tactics... ), against the Spitfire, Terminator Ai.

What can i say, i was getting smashed, my windscreen shattered, holes every where, until i saw the spit in front of me, cheated a bit with the outside gunsight view, a little deflection shooting with cannons and guns, and hey i shot him down !!! (i cheated with the outside gunsight view tho otherwise at that stage i would have been probably shot down soon) Also you can see my first Me110 landing. !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6-n422KZhg

Then i thought i´d do it the other way around, as usually me in the Spit, against the Terminator Ai in the Me110 to see how long the fight went for. Much easier for me this time. Actually flew it twice, cause its always better, (also for some testing stuff i wanted). Both links for both dogfights:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XH8K6aUKUw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKL8YJ3bPOA

Well, then i thought i only had one more Axis plane to try, the Stuka, and i gave it a go. My surprise when i realized how well i thought i could manage the Stuka, when i thought it was going to be a flying rock. I enjoyed more than the Me110, maybe because its slow, i could make use of my Turn and Fight tactics even against the Spitfire which i manage to shoot down in both occasions. (Human simulation factor is present here, and depends a lot on the pilot, otherwise im pretty sure you wouldn´t shoot down a Spitfire with a Stuka, but there you go, a thing you all can try to do.) Both links to both fights:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEfTkYTmlfQ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R0tdaEHFAI

And then of course i wanted to do it the other way around to check what happened, me in the Spit against the Stuka Terminator Ai. In a little over a minute than the Stuka was shot down. Anyway this is what i thought would happen so its cool. Links for both dogfights;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOn9_U5hLQE

The other one i did, where i also land the spit on a lets say "unofficial" way:

For some reason the audio on the video seems distorted to me so i turned it of and i was already listening to "echoes" by Pink Floyd on my H/D ,What a wonderful mix, GOZR's video and Pink Floyds Echoes, :D :D

Well, from my other videos i had one left, try to fly the Hurri against the terminator Ai in a 109, and i got my new terrain pimped up. (still got to work on it tho..... ) i got peliland textures, Rummy and Stickman fartiles and terrain and Rummy grass dithers which is great to be honest. I really enjoy flying just for flying with this mods.

Well, there you are, soon will try the 12v12 missions on Spits against the Terminator Ai 109s, but as i said thats a mission!

Hurricane Mk1A (No 1 Squadron) Vs Me109E

As you can see in the video, it took me a lot of following around and throwing the plane around etc..... to get him.
