BF 110 Ghost planes (3)

Post by Boompus »

Hello

I still have a problem with the BF 110 in the game. It has no skin and marks. Complete white.
I can fly it though, but historically incorrect of course ;-)

I noticed 2 files in the COCKPM16 folder: Bf110.fx and Bf110=.fx
Do I have to change something?

Using BoB 2.13 - MultiSkin installed

Howzit Boompus,

I have both of those files in my cockm16 folder.
Whenever I do a reinstall of v2.13 I usually do the following, if I remember correctly, install game, multiskin 2.08, multiskin 2.11 then version 2.13 patch. I probably don't have to install the earlier multiskin versions, but I have just got into the habit of doing it this way and have had no problems. Maybe give it a try. Ignore any warning messages about incompatible versions when installing multiskin.

Well.. I think I leave it this way. All the other skins are OK and the game runs fine. I will not fly a Bf 110 anyway and they are easy targets now with no camo 8)
Thanks

Is this in campaign or IA? ie, do you know the specific unit
that the 110 is supposed to be, or is it all/any of them?

In the [bobroot]\Multiskin\ folder you should have a file called
Me110_MainSkin.ms, which is a text file readable with notepad.
It directs the program which skins to use for which plane,
including a default if nothing matches. Then in the ...\MultiskinTextures\
subfolder, you should see six 8MB files named bf110xx..xx.dds,
which are the texture files. If all this is in place, things should be
working, unless perhaps you don't have the vidcard RAM to
hold all the textures, but I thought that would cause a more
substantial sort of failure.

Hello PV

It's in all the scenes where the Bf 110 is involved. Instant Action, Campaign etc...
All Staffel/Units. I will follow your suggestion and see what happens.
Thanks

They are all there. I only have this problem with the BF110. Thanks again.
