Instant action number of aircraft

Post by Bsmooth1234 »

I did a quick search but only found someting about a mission editor, which I can only assume is some sort of add-on. But in the instant actions say aircraft vs lone bomber, but yet it seems in the menu you should be able to change it, but despite my efforts it only seems to stay at one aircrft for each side. Shouldn't this be adjustable in-game ?

With the Interceptions Instant Action choice you should be able to get two RAF Squadrons against one LW bomber Staffel escorted by two fighter Staffeln.

Your have four choices, as shown here:

BTW, the 4 by the Hurricane Suadron listed here stand for 4 flights. You can reduce this down to 3, 2, or 1 flight.

Are your red tic marks not working?

It is an Instant Action Mission Editor which anyone can use.
Long time since I used it. Basically you choose any existing Instant Action Mission and build your own Mission, replacing the Mission you chose to edit.

Where there is a 4 under the red Ticks I usually only have 1, but my ticks are not changeable at all. BTW I don't have that cool background either.

As no one else has ever reported this problem, and it works for me, then I suspect that you may have a BAD install.
Something went wrong when you installed the game.

I have re-installed BoBII about 50 times while being one of the testers and developers.
Had only one BAD install. 3 years ago. My machine guns did not have any sounds, one time re-installing.
I had to completely remove BoBII from the computer, Clean the REGISTRY, and install the Down Load again.
Machine gun sounds, and everything else worked then. :)

Sometimes bad things happen when installing a game into your computer.
Sometimes bad things happen when you Download the game from the net.

I can only advise that you try to re-install BoBII again, to fix your problem.
BTW I don't have that cool background either.
Well.. never mind that. I like to modify and change things in BoBII. That is what I do.
That is some digital art work from an artist named Gary Eason at Fine Art America.
I never asked him to use this for BoBII commercial purposes. I can use use it personally, I hope he don't mind.
Here is the picture he made, and shows there:

Gary Eason made a lot of real good artwork pertaining to the Battle of Britain.

Pat Speirs, too.

For the pleasure of capturing some of their work for my personal use, I will gladly advertise their websites and the fine art that they have for sale.

I like his style, its a bit of a mix between Graphic art and a painting. I actually one of Robert Taylors prints, I think one is Combat Over London. I liked his style as well.
Just as a sidenote how do you change the numbers for the aircraft? Maybe I'm just not doing it correctly.

Do you mean the call letters/numbers painted on
the aircraft? The aircraft will have individual numbers
if you've installed and activated the Multiskin package.
If you have concerns about the graphics load of
all those skins (not too onerous with the monster
vidcards out there these days) there is a process
to edit the multiskin controller so you get the
correct call letters (they are matched to the
appropriate squadrons) but don't load all the
varieties of aircraft paint jobs. It is described in
a link out of here: http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/vie ... 48&t=23195
