Friends - how to hear the birds at the airfield ?
In "SampleHI" folder - It has a wonderful sound file "ambient" - but it does not work.
How do I connect it (activate)?

I don't know about the ambient file.

HAZZIE made a sound mod that has birds singing just after you stop your engine.
I think you may like this.

There are several bird sounds, each of which is
triggered by proximity to different objects; I think
if you buzz various buildings and statuary in London
you'll hear pigeons, and some seacoast features
yield gulls.

The "ambience:" one I wasn't aware of; I might speculate
that the intention was to have a GUI for the LW campaign
player out in a tent on a field, and run that ambient like
the "convloop" used for the background of the RAF HQ.
I've often suggested trying to hack up such a thing, maybe
we could do it one day...

Oh no ..... I made a mistake - a file called "ambience".!!!
I tried to use the file "Smotrend" - but it sounds at the beginning of the engine - not at the end of the engine.))))))
I'd love to file "ambience" just sounded when an open cockpit - before and after the flight))))))
