BOB has not got a screen where objects such as the aeroplanes can be viewed. :? This could be a welcome addition. Most British schoolchildren now study the battle of Britain as part of their history courses. Such a feature perhaps with some info could put BOB into the arena of educational software. This sim is so accurate -more so with the activities of the BDG- that its integrity could have a role in this context. The shooting and killing aspect might have to be played down a bit but with such fidelity in depicting the aeroplanes, landscape and campaign maps etc it might be that BOB could be of value to teachers. (could be a first for a flight sim)I hope that Shockwave hang in there with the commitment to authenticity that Rowan showed initially and the BDG have taken on so far. Looking forward to WOV in the new year. Maybe even to running BOB on an interactive whiteboard in front of a history class...?

Actually Osram made an object viewer utility a while back. Not sure right now where that is.. Not a bad idea, I must say.

That would be superb :D

Are you a teacher?

One of us has spoken to the North Weald museum and they are interested in having something when they go into schools.

Don't worry, you could say both of my parents were teachers.

Do you teach history?

No, not History, Biology and the other Sciences. However like a lot of the chaps posting here 'know a bit about History and have of course read most recent books on the Battle of Britain 8) . Also take an interest in what History is taught and how it is taught in UK schools as friends teach it and it is always good to be a bit cross-curricular. Do I detect a bit of sounding out with a possible end in view Osram-you are nothing if not purposeful

Well, it sounds like a very interesting idea! Also, it would fit well with the North Weald project.

But first we have a sim to build polish and ship !
So, let's speak about this again after release. Then we can ask knowledgable people for what the chances are, what it would need to be like etc.

Ah Yes! I wish you luck in the task beforeyou. I was wondering if an educational slant would be an asset in marketing in some way? Or if an educational product or facility could be easily derived from the main package? Looking forward with interest and some excitement simply because the work you have done so far has been so good. :D
