I like those cooler settings HC. Would be better for early mornings and late evenings I think, but not exlusively.

:(
True but this shot was all about the canopy,,, something I couldn't replicate in a hundred years even if I tried.

However,,, if you'll notice the terrain shot, there is a small section of your sun reflective stream texture that you and I like so well.

yeah, see that

the 109 prop is nice, tho

wonder if any work has ever been done on fading the distant trees; this very noticible and annoying when seen through clouds?

Dear HC,

Nice screen caps!!
I envy all you guys with awesome machine setups and can run BoB2 with close to max settings... and post the screenies here.
Reminds me of my relatively graphically challenged lappy everytime I visit this section. :(

On the bright side, if *I* can get a steady 33 FPS with my mods, then it is almost guaranteed so will most of you :D

++++++++++++++++

Dear HAZZIE,
Very recently (i.e last night IST), I tried my hand at removing the shine from the trees.
They were shining because of the way the shader and vertex normals work in the sim. I modified the 3D objects' vertex normals in the shape bin to minimize the shine.
You can see the (long) discussion and get the modified tree objects here:
https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewto ... 32#p405027

Currently, Stickman is helping me test the shining trees. So far, we have successfuly eliminated the glow/shine from all the trees.
I can see from HC's screenies that the old #62 oak trees don't show through the clouds/fog/haze much. That tree never had the infamous 'shine'/'glow' right from the beginning. Maybe these two problems are shader related? Now, that I fixed the shine in the other trees, I don't know if the 'glow-fix' would also help in fading them out at distance, although my gut feeling is it just might .

Any help from volunteers to test this with the updated trees will be appreciated. :)

Regards,
Vasanth

Vram - am going to that thread, now, to read it

will join testing this ( and attempt to solve shaders etc off theoretical issues illustrated to me ) once have re-installed the failed SSD ( still haven't done this yet, so haven't reloaded any Sims for x2 months )

the major issue wud like solved, would be the dark trees showing thru cloud, and in the distance
and (distant) buildings showing dark in the distance
