I'm about to prepare a savegame for the current date in case I find two hours or so of free time to fly a campaign mission. But I can't find a confirmation that the 'Convoys' is the right campaign phase to start. Is it? Could someone tell me why I shouldn't choose a later phase since today is Aug 7th already?

Time permitting, you should try to play the current day you are playing in the battle. So if you can play today, you should fly the missions on august 6th/7th.

What this means is that if you start playing in a few days, you can just start on the Eagle Day phase. Otherwise, if you want to play today, for example, you should start a convoy phase game and accelerate to the current day (letting the AI handle everything, by choosing a squadron for you that is not in action, such a 13 group one).

That said, there is a promotion campaign that will kick off soon, to coincide with the Eagle Day phase. That way new participants can jump right in using the Eagle Day start date.

OK, thanks I wasn't sure. I was worried about 'alternating the reality' by posting inconsistent reports e.g. pilot who flies the campaign from the beginning may report that it's hard to find a LW AC over Britain on Aug 7th while I could report that the sky over Biggin Hill is swarming with LW ACs and if you take off alive, you're lucky.

Edit:
Aug 1st - 80% of Group 11 airfields down!

I wouldn't worry about that. Our campaigns are bound to develop differently. This will inevitably happen, you should just try to minimize them in your reports (for example, if on a mission you are joined by another squadron, don't say its number in case another participant is using it).

Thank you.

Too bad I have to start a new campaign and accelerate it a month ahead every time I change some options. Recently it was 'padlock only when visible' and 'friendly collisions'. I aim for very realistic settings.

It would be great if we could disable daily report screens...

Today I posted my first After Action Report at SimHQ http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/t ... ost3069147 I hope I will be allowed to continue from Middle Wallop...

I will also take an opportunity to write something about the difficulties I faced wanting to join in the middle of the campaign. Tha main difficulty was that after I accelerated the SPC to 7th August by that date most of the 11th group airfields were gone. Relocation was the only option but BoB shows also destroyed airfields in the list of airfields available to be transfered to. So I used map filters to hide destroyed assets and it helped me finding a new homebase.

Thanks. I'll try...

An hour ago I finished my 3rd dbd mission. I landed with 1 109 and 1 110 shot down. I took some good shots of me after full stop. I wanted to take one last shot of me near hangars. English text error... :( I guess there's no way to fix it as there's no 3D autosaves.

The report would have been supplemented with some fine screenshots I took. Just a few examples:

Note: I updated my Multiskin markings to reflect my 3 victories after the first two missions.
